Frequently Asked Questions

No, HeadStart is not cloud based. HeadStart is a desktop application that runs on Windows. HeadStart Desktop is a windows application. Our add-ons provide you with Cloud-like capabilities ie. to see your online appointments and online bookings.

You cannot access the full HeadStart Desktop from your phone or tablet, but you can access your appointment book via our Dashboard. HeadStart can be accessed on a Windows tablet or a tablet that has a Windows emulator installed.

Yes, you can have HeadStart on multiple devices on a local area network.

We offer remote access to your business computer via Splashtop.

Creating of your HeadStart database, the importing of stock and service items and finally the installation of your HeadStart software. You may opt for training upfront which will then be included in your setup fee.

We offer free support on a first come, first serve basis from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00-17:00. We also offer emergency support on Saturdays between 8:30-14:00. Client support can be reached via our landline at 011 396-1817 or via email at support@headstart.co.za. For an unreasonable amount of support, where training was not attended, additional charges may apply.

Yes, you can communicate to your clients via SMS and email.

Yes, we do offer online appointments/bookings.

HeadStart can work on an Apple device that has a Windows emulator installed.

Service items, stock items and client information (including clients names, surnames, contact details and birthdays). Please note that sales history, sales/tickets and reports cannot be migrated.

Training is not mandatory but is advised to make full use of the system.

This means the listed prices do not include Value Added Tax. Your final billing amount will include VAT as applicable to your region.

You can switch between plans. Kindly note that a 30 days notice period applies.

As the system is branded and customised to your business there is no trial period.

Invoices are emailed to you every month on the 24th and payment is due by the 7th of the next month.

We offer a 15% discount for subscription paid 6 months or more in advance.

Monthly subscriptions can be paid via Debit Order or EFT.

A 30-Day notice period applies.

You can extract all data from your database before we uninstall/remove HeadStart from your computer. Once the uninstallation has been done we keep your data on our side for 3 months after which your data is deleted.
